the ball joint on the stock arm is at a bad angle and will wear out early or even break. these are stronger than stock and use a uni ball instead of a ball joint. con's of the upper arm is installing them, the bolt is over 12"

I think it is the best thing I have found yet, but I want as many opinions as I can get. Honesty is the best policy. LOL:D

King Off-Road Shocks 2.5 with Resi's for the rears, Rear Spring TSB, KMC XD Enduros 16x8, Black Vinyl Fenders, Bed compartment locks, Cobra 19 DX IV with Lil Wil mag mount antenna, CoverKing Seat covers front and rear, Built Right UCAs, Aluminess Expedition Bumper, GY Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar 265/75-16, Custom hybrid style rock sliders.
I heard that is a very good lift. A lot of people on here have them. Your best route if you don't go with IVD, King, Fox, etc.

it's not a bad deal, i would rather go with a coilover in the front, aal in the rear with 5100's in the rear.

It does have the coilovers in the front with the add-a-leaf in the rear with the 5100. Below is a cut and paste from the actual website of what is included with the kit:

    Includes:
TTAFCS-6005 - ToyTec/Bilstein Adjustable coilovers featuring Bilstein 5100 maintenance free shocks, adjustable from 1 to 3 1/2" lift.(spanner wrenches included for adjustment). Preset 2 1/2" to 3" lift. No spring comperssor needed; fully assembled for a bolt on front lift.
    SBR-129 - sway bar relocates
TAC-DR-05 - Front Diff drop kit
TAC-AL - ToyTec Rear "long" add-a-leafs featuring anti friction pads for quiet ride
Extended length Bilstein 5100 rear nitrogen gas shocks for optium performance on and off road (Not pictured)
TT-RS - rear axle degree shims for proper pinion angle alignment (Not pictured)
UB-4 - (4) new rear ubolts (not pictured)

Thanks for everyones opinions. Keep them comin!!:)

the front coilover is a 5100 that you can adjust, it's not a true coilover i guess you can say. check these out.
these links are from downsouth and you get a discount, not sure how much of a discount, give Sonny a call if you go this route.

If your going to pay that much why don't you just get a 6" Fabtek lift and go to 35" tires? I wish I could but mine has VSC and can't.

Actually I like the look of the 6" lift and would get it all except for a couple of reasons first is that my wife can't get into them and the second we have been in a couple situations that a 6" would not have been good. So here is another loaded question. I have looked at and like the following:

    http://downsouthmotorsports.com/i-134716-fox-racing-toyota-tacoma-2005-2009-performance-kit.html

Since this just comes with the front shocks I was thinking of adding the Bilsteins 5100 to the rear. (here comes the loaded part) Would I want to or should I add-a-leaf also to the rear and what would the pros and cons be of adding vs not adding the AAL? Would there be anything else I would need beside the front shocks (listed in the website above), the rear 5100's and/or the possible AAL?

Get the kit from "downsouthmotorsports" with the 5100's in the rear and you should be fine, if you decide later down the road that you need AAL then get them then.

also another website with quality off road products, consider good luck

the fox coilovers would be awesome in the front, that is all you need, you can later at the upper arms like i did. you don't have to do the aal in the rear or 5100's, depends on the look, the front will be higher than the rear, if you do the aal you will have to put the 5100's in the rear because the stock shocks are too short. You have made a choice. Any more questions.

    uhh...everything? lol
id advise the Toytec Ultimate kit for both of you...rides nice and will function great offroad. For 90% of people, they will never notice the difference between a remote reservoir Fox coilover and the Bilstein 5100 "Adjustable Shock". Id skip out on the diff drop too, waste of time/money.

What would be the benefit or downside of the remote reservior coilovers?

in the front you can adjust the ride, for example fox you can adjust the ride from caddy to f350 heavy duty, don't know if all of them have it, my sway a way's don't have a resevoir but they ride good overall.
