Before I go smashing things, I'm trying to remove my map light clear plastic. I've been searching and searching and found many topics showing results but never how to actually remove the clear plastic in order to swap out the lights. (Trying to put my LED's in there by the way....) Help me out? Will I break it with a flat head or something?

    Thanks!

I wrapped a small flathead with some painters tape to keep from scratching anything. Pry gently from the side (where you press to turn it on) and it will pop down. It's pretty easy.

I just used a hobby sized flat head screw driver. There is a small indent that you can put it into and pull the cover off. Takes minutes, not even to get them off.

I wrapped blue painter's tape around the bulb to grip and then pulled them out.

I replaced regular bulbs with LEDs. Huge upgrade. Also fairly cheap.
