    It looks like it's a good year. All these guys are posting in miles and that's way more than what you're posting in kilometers. Good luck with your decision.

    My 05 has the Oil Cooler, Trans cooler, and gasp... A-Trac. Before it was named A-Trac. I am on the original blower motor with zero squeaking. Never had my tailgate bend in two, and last time I checked, the engine was still under the hood (which reminds me, I should probably check again since its been a few thousand miles since I've checked it).

    If it has rust, it's your fault, not Toyota's. I oil spray my trucks body inside out every fall, it's a 08 and still looks new underneath.

    You change the oil right, my friend sprays his on his truck underside, I get it professionally done at Oil Guard.

    It's the same output, same motor.

    For the year 2006, the Society of Automotive Engineers changed how HP was measured, the 05 dynos the same as an 06.

    I would buy an 05 ....that was my first tacoma back in Dec of 04 and put 151000 mi on it before it got totaled....if it didn't get totaled I would still have it and tun it till the wheels fall off I still miss my 05 but I'm happy with my 11 too....you'll have no regrets buying an 05 like others said its a Toyota.

    HaHa..
    Before the paperwork had even dried we were loaded up and off on a road trip, no time for pictures!

    Plus it's still all PO'd out, I need a day of detailing before I show it off;
    It does drive like an ace though, we couldn't stop grinning the whole way..
