why would they clad them with a decorative chrome layer? all my 21mm lugs are more like 21.5mm. i hate it. looks like my truck has one tire with a separating sidewall belt, and will need to be changed. and you know what? those guys at Costco will strip the 6 offending lug nuts sure as day..no way they take the time to tap on a 21mm..

the offroad shorty lugs have to be worst than the longer sport lugs..no?

i have to work tomorrow, so my wife is taking my truck in. this is so annoying..i would rather have 24 zinc plated, ugly lug nuts that are durable.

i am gonna buy 24 new ones from wheelers..i am done with these junk lugs.

Should't be an issue. When I ran the stock wheels, the stock lugnuts fitted well inside a 22 mm socket, which is a fairly standard size.

Haven't seen a 21 mm in most socket sets. Usually it's either 13/16" (20.6 mm) or 22 mm.

I think i have 19mm nuts and never had any problem with them, but of course they are covered by my rims.

I'd be more concerned with the alloy wheels getting torn up than the lugs.

    stock, for now
Most lugnuts are 19mm or 21. I have only seen chryslers that have the lugnuts that have the caps seperate. Are you sure you are using the correct size socket OP? If they are a bit swelled, you can tap a 21 on, or use a 13/16, which is a tad bit bigger. Should cure your problems.

Yea I got three brand new 21mm from Toyota last time. They are perfect. The cladding on the old ones swelled. annoying. Thanks for the 13/16th suggestion.
