this doesnt really count as a mod but i figured id say in this section that ill put up some pics of my truck after it gets fixed. some guy decided to turn into me and ruined the whole passenger side. truck is so tough the window and locks and door still work fine.
You guys pump me up. I was gonna push to do a conversion to 4x4 but maybe I'll hit up some of the tank trails first and add some pics while it's still a prerunner. I have noticed in the little bit of off roading I've done so far my truck handles fairly well. I even pushed passed a stuck 4x4 blazer while camping (thanks to my locker)

I have a prerunner that i am planning on converting to 4x4 in the near future but i have dont lots of offroading with my 4x2. Dont let anyone tell you 4x2 is not capable. It all comes down to the driver. I have gone on the beach is soft deep sand, deep mud pits, trails, and creek crossings all in 4x2 with an open diff. My friend has a 4x4 tacoma and has gotten stuck in the very same mud pit of sand that i went through 15 seconds before then i have to yank him out with 2wd. Yes 4x4 makes it much easier to offroad than 4x2, but the 4x2 makes you a much better driver. When/if you ever do get 4x4 you will never get stuck due to your driving style you were use to with 2wd.

Only time i really got stuck lol -

It actually is Ive put in the first half of the parts for my swap with no big issues besides the ball joint refusing to come out of the uca. The hardest part would be dealing with the tranny and redoing the trans mount under the truck

I'm considering converting to a 4x4 but this thread has got me curious about the locker. How much is one of those and an instal going to run me?
Also, I'm loving all the prerunner pride in this thread
