Wierd stuff around rear window (Double Cab)

Whats this stuff on the rear window weather seal? It looks like the protective layer is gone and it just getting weathered away. I had it detailed and it still didnt budge. Any suggestions on what to do?

 

I have it too.. Can't figure anything out to get rid of it.

Sub'd. Mine has it too, 48,000 mile truck should not have this problem.

 

at first i thought it was mold, but OP is prob right, the rubber prob isn't very UV resistant, i've seen this on quite a few vehicles

 

Im gonna go to the dealership today , if no one has answers for me someone is getting a punch to the dick. There is no way in hell you are a dealership and have never seen something like this

Has anyone tried a fresh Brillo or SOS pad?
Careful of the paint, but it sure works good on the raised white letters on the tires. Gets all the spooge off, and the schmutz too.

 

My strippers has the herpes too

 

i doubt anything will help, I'm pretty sure its just the rubber being eaten by UV rays over time

 

Buddy of mine said to tape all the paint off and do just this with a SOS pad and some muscle.. Gonna try it this weekend.

Anyone tried mothers back to black? Maybe after you scrub with a SOS pad.

try some westlys bleach white on it...its like tire bloom so it should come off
