I decided to take on the Stig with a Ferrari 458 and came so close, but no cigar.

Hand on heart, I promise you the car is unmodified. Just as I got it after buying it in the GT5 dealer, I turned off the traction control off, and all physics settings set to "Real". Using "Sports: Hard" tires. I'm using my Logitech Driving Force GT wheel, not the controller. I also use the in car camera view when driving with the "Wide" zoom option.

I don't claim to be the best GT driver by any stretch of the imagination, but I surprised myself with this lap as it ended up being my best lap and came so close to the Stig's time.

Well damn and blast. Don't tell me that Call of Duty isn't exactly like the real thing, too!

Thanks, and yes I've seen that episode about 5 times.

I play GT5, though I get super pissed off at it all the time since I don't have a steering wheel. I love Top Gear (uk) :D

Nice! I used to spend lots of time with GTR2 (PC racing sim, a real sim-lover's sim!). Last summer, I got to drive a real 458 on the track in Vegas. Got nowhere near the Stig's time, but I had a blast. That is an amazing car!

That's pretty sweet, man! Good shots. I take it that was through exoticsracing.com? I'm going to do that or something similar to it someday. Probably when I retire in 30 years, but it's gonna happen.
