    Looking for an inexpensive bipod for my new Savage 10 .308...been looking around on cheaperthandirt.com. Anybody have recommendations?

    i have a Harris that is probably 20 years old..it is bombproof.

    I grew tired of harris, and finally bought a Atlas.

    I now own 4 atlas bipods, and i've sold all but 1 of my harris

    isnt Atlas more geared towards the "tactical" crowd? how do they mount? do you need a picitanny rail?

    man, my Harris is friggen ancient. it has that old school mounting system that "clips" onto the front strap eye, and pulls it down tight to the fore-stock. i have never seen an Atlas system mounted on a full blown hunting rig..with a simple wood stock.

    my Harris works for me. i have the short version that allows only really prone and maybe some weird seated position. the ATLAS, does it have a tall system?

    theres different models, some mount to picitany rails some I think screw in like harris. they extend to about a foot opened around 5'' closed. I would say its more tactical but man they are solid and built to last. I love mine

    Ive had my harris for over 13 years now and has been a great piece of gear and has helped me get tons of great shots. Mine has built in swivel so if you are on uneven ground the gun will still be level.

    buy once, cry once.
