60" Hi-Lift

Couldn't see where else to post this, so I decided to do it here.

My question is will a 60" Hi-Lift fit in the bed of my 2012 DCSB? I will be placing it the length of the truck on the passenger side.

Don't call me derp whipper...but I thought I saw a thread where the guy actually grinding down a bit of the jack so it fit... where would you grind though?

 

I measured the bed from the shortest points and it's EXACTLY 60". WTMF

 

could you not remove the top part and disassemble the base? would suck, but I bet it would fit.

 

I don't know very many people who need to lift their truck 60" into the air.

 

the bottom plate is very easy to remove, and i dont think the top piece is necessary for functionality.

Not sure, cause I haven't played with one yet. I am trying to get a quick answer because there is a sale and it ends at midnight. I guess I will just have to pass it up. I think I'll go to a local shop and see if they have a 60" in stock. I'll take out to the truck and try it out.

 

It doesn't lift 60" The Hi-lift length is 60". It raises to 48"-50". I have read that lots of folks max out their 48"ers, so I would like to have and not need, then to need and not have.

you can soak up 48'' pretty quick. imagine if the jack base were in a small hole and the slider was blocked by a tree or something. out of luck.

You're not supposed to lift past 75% of the jack height. That's 45". How high is your hi-lift point? How much does your suspension droop? I can't think of anyone who doesn't need a 60". Mine barely gets my tires off the ground near the top of the jack. Granted, I've been lifting from the bumpers. Not sliders.


48" is too small for 90% of trucks.

Get a bed cage and mount it to the side

 

Say no more. That's a perfect solution. Too bad I currently wouldn't use it for anything else, BUT to mount the Hi-lift, LOL.

What sucks is that the ATO hi-lift mounts are the same price as the damn hi-lift itself. WTF?!

 

I use a 4xrac to mount it to the side of my bed. Won't work for tube though.
