Alright so here is my truck's new look. Special thanks to Ray for the good deal on the CF hood and Noah for the great weld of my Demello DIY slider ....So what ya'll think? oh and 285s KM2 are coming next week can't wait

Would it be wrong of me to say it that it looks okay? I personally think that the guys who don't like it would simply not post, but I'm torn. The hood doesn't flow with the headlight/grill assembly. Perhaps if the eyelids were not there and the headlights were dark (like the 09's) then I think I would say, It looks great. Sorry man. It's a good start though. Had I seen a CF hood on a Taco here, you can bet I would have gone over to check it out.

 

I've never seen the 09 headlights before, how dark does it look? I'm still debating on weather or not taking off my eyelids but then it would look a little too dark on my front end, the headlights already been done a BHLM by Ray (aka RAD MoJo)

 

Your lights are actually darker than the 09 lights. My opinion: Take the eyelids off and leave those headlights are they are. Perhaps you can put on a chrome decal that spells out TACOMA on the grill to give it some depth. Just throwing out an idea.

 

the 09 headlight's are way darker than the 08 and before, i like the hood because I have seen it on Ray's truck, but don't like the eyelids there, i doesn't flow with the grille, the hood and the lids.

Here is a pic of my 09 lights, hard to tell but when next to a 08 way darker, like midnight crhome on a zippo lighter.

it would have been better to weld in diagonal, not perpendicular to the frame. That's why many sliders come with diamond shaped weld plates, so you weld more parallel to the frame as it's stronger that way

what happened to your wheels and tires man. That truck needs those to look complete.

 

dude those Motometal are long gone...the drove me crazy of because it rubs onto my frame and I didn't feel like paying to have my main frame trim because it will bend, I'm getting Procomp 1079 next week with awesome deal of the KM2!!! . I have no idea about the welding all it know that it's pretty sturdy!!

 

Noe's dad own's his own welding shop, i'm sure it's good.
