    Yes.
Not a 2012 but I had a similar issue. Whenever my 400 lb. friend would right in the passenger seat, the light would turn on. I would have to have the whole thing reset. Toyota wanted to charge me for doing this, until I took my friend to the dealership with me.

I am with you there. One wonders how that can be missed on the factory floor.

    3 months, 3500 miles.

Slight drivetrain shutter while stopping at the first few stop signs in my neighborhood. Stops after apparent warm up.

Other than that, all is well.

I believe it is the emission canister thing under the hood by the intake. I could be wrong though.
I notice it happens when the truck sits for awhile and you start it up. Sometimes it doesn't take as long for it to stop but in the morning it sound like a jet is taking off in the garage.

The dealer is replacing the entire windshield and they have a tint guy there who will re-do the top strip. Hopefully they don't give me crap about the size and % of the strip, it's big and dark but I'm registered in ME and drive in CO.

Update: I have an appt with Kelly on Monday, dropping off my Tacoma there. They're going to look at the shaking drivetrain, transmission problem, drivers window rattle, stereo (staying paired) prob, and steering column "knock", I read there's a TSB for the steering column knock.

Has anybody noticed the radio gets really hot?
Also, the truck vibrates like tires are out of balance and sometimes it vibrates when braking like it has warped brake discs. I think both problems are cause by the Dunlop tires.
After 4 Toyota trucks in a row, I don't think I'll get another. Just too many problems that appear to be "normal".

Bilstein 5100's all around front set at 2.5 flowmaster 40 exhaust hid headlight and foglights tinted windows tinted taillights two 10 inch kickers with kicker door speakers
I had the same exact problem on my '12 dclb took it to the dealer and they took there time with it luckily my dad had a hook up with a guy from another dealer and he took care of it. As long as its on wen u take it they can read the fault and then they'll take forever to troubleshoot to see wat part is bad

On my 2012 DCLB 4x4 occasionally while waiting at long stoplights the idle will kick up for no reason. It idles at 600 then jumps to 900 then will go back down. Sometimes the truck leaps forward or feels like someone bumped into my rear bumper. I have tried different gas, AC,heater ,radio on off still does it. I have notice when I turn the steering wheel it bumps up the idle but thats normal. It almost fells like the stall speed on the transmission sometimes kicks in and the truck leaps forward. I'm used to it now but it might scare my wife if it unexpectedly happened to her.

The AC is on when the Defrost selector is on, even though the AC light is not illuminated.

Change to vent, or fully off, and see if it continues - but I bet it is the AC compressor cycling.

11k and just about one year of ownership on my 2012 DCLB 4x4 Sport. My only problem continues to be the vibration in the passenger seat. I have determined that the vibration comes from the passive head restraint mechanism and it causes the PHR gear in the seat back to wobble which in turn, causes the headrest to vibrate. Just enough to be annoying and the problem goes away when someone sits in the seat. My dealer and Toyota Corp. deny that there is anything wrong. I've been saving money for leather seats and I plan to address the problem prior to making the switch to leather. I think a combination of zip-ties and SS hose clamps will secure the internals of the seat and correct the vibration. Other than that, I do really like the truck.
