The 'who has an AR' thread has 2.877 replies and 90,700 views.

100 million+ AKs have been made. In service still in dozens of nations. The USA is one of the big players as far as dealing in these things. A Russian schoolboy can strip one down in less than 40 seconds. The simplest peasant soldier can keep it functioning. The few cleaning supplies needed can fit in the palm of your hand. Dependable as hell. A few of the original Russian made milled reciever AK47s are still being used today. The average world-wide cost of one is only about $250. Simple, reliable. Accurate? On a spray and pray battlefield, that's hardly relevant.

So who has a variant of Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov's creation?
(perhaps only a few here own a genuine Avtomat Kalashnikova- which is the full-auto/selective fire original)

    Update from the new OP

As I can respect the previous OP’s wishes for what he did with his rifle we will be sure to keep politics and buy backs out of this thread.

    Selling items

Anyone is able to sell AK related stuff on this thread. Please ensure you are following the TW COC and the BST rules. Any sort of circumventing of either of these will get you reported to the mods. We want to keep this page alive and not shut down.

    Politics

As stated above, there will be 0 talk of politics. We don’t want this thread shut down and we don’t want you getting banned with your nice AK. This goes for political memes too.

Have fun and Rifle is fine!

We're all here to talk AKs so post anything AK related! Have a question. We can try to help but many of us are not gunsmiths and you'll need to know when it's time to call in the big guns.

We will try to have an AK buyers guide link along with some other cool links too.

Draco 7.62x39 pistol. Before anyone loses their feces and sends a letter to the ATF, an AFG is allowed on a pistol. A VFG makes it a AOW. Future plans include paperwork and a SBR for this one.

My dad has been looking to buy one for awhile, but refuses to buy one unless it's a milled receiver. He goes to gun shops every week looking around for something to buy. He has like three AR's now and wants to get another one with a slide fire stock.

    Badass!!

Personally to clean the AK to my idea of clean takes a lot longer than to clean the AR and I could strip both down equally fast, the bolt on the AR is easier though IMO, I still love both though.

Nice guns. These deserve a thread of their own.

Milled receivers: I have read that the pressed steel ones are better. With extreme use, the stamped ones flex, whereas milled one tend to crack. I have no reference to link to so as to back this statement up.

My pair of Saiga shotguns, .410 & 20 guage. Imported in the .90s by EEA. Cheaper than the current ones. Used for hunting birds, rabbits & whitetail deer (20g slugs)
