I just bought a pair of these Rocky Mounts myself. They come with all mounting hardware. Essentially there is a plate that goes in the utility track rails and you mount the system to that plate. They give you the tool. In order to mount it or remove it, you must first unlock the quick release and then unscrew the end opposite the lock to get the quick release out of the way so that you can have access to the hardware. The system is very well built and not flimsy at all. I trust it holding my $5000 carbon fiber triathlon racing bike. The keyed locking mechanism adds some extra anti-theft security and I then run a cable lock through my frame and rear wheel and then thru the tie down in the back of the bed. I bought mine from www.treefortbikes.com . It cost me just under $100 for two of these including shipping. They arrived in less than 1 week. PM me for any additional info.

Depends how muddy it is! Sometimes I put it in the bed under the bike, it doesn't move around any... or I just put it in the cab behind my seat.

This is just the thread I was looking for. Need one for my QR15 Fox fork, and looks like the DriveShaft SD is just the ticket. I'm wondering though, their new version seems like it sits flat and stick out more. Wondering if anyone has this newer one, and if you find it more difficult to mount the bike to as opposed to the old-style DriveShaft:

I did exactly what elevin said and they mounted up within a minute or two! Super easy. Tightened em up and put wife's bike up on em and it was very stable. Haven't gone anywhere yet, but appears like it will stay put.

I need a Bike mount for my Tacoma that I can use with my tonneau cover when its rolled up. I want it to be lockable and I would also like a front wheel carrier. I do not want to build or make anything, I just want to buy online. Does anyone have any leads on products?
