The seats in my new Tacoma are comfy and well upholstered but are too low and are causing discomfort / lower back pain. Did anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions?

The cheapest way would be to find some cushions to sit on, or something to add to the stock seat to add support.

you could cut out everything below your seat and reweld it at a lower position. i had a 95 reg cab and the seat bolts went down and i put a longer bolt in them with washers under the bracket for about a 1" seat lift. i changed out the seats in mine when i first got my 05 but can't remember if the bolter down or in (for lack of a better term) u could check it out and if its down you could "shim" it up a bit that way.

    I'd try this:

My wife has horrible lower back issues and recently got this for her Rav4. She used to use a pillow like someone mentioned but this is a godsend.

You can probably find them cheaper on Amazon or whatnot, just google "mesh back support". The one my wife has doesn't Velcro down great (although I know I could just get a longer strip), but when you put it on the seat and sit down it's not going anywhere.
