Took us 6 hours, 30 beers, and 3 medium pizzas... It was pretty easy, but would've went alot faster is we didn't spend so much time trying to find a drill bit the was big enough to widen the middle hole of the u-bolt plate, and a socket long enough to tighten the nuts into the u-bolts.

Will that readylift work on an 09' taco?
I went to a local shop and he called around trying to find a lift for my 09 access cab 5lug and he said there was nothing. He even called readylift apparently..

That's a really good price. I would like to lift my Taco. But when I have extra $$$ to spend, I will use it for mods.

The lifts discussed in this thread (ReadyLift and Fat Bob's) will work on the 2009's. I have it on my 09 with no problems.

IMO, I think the cheapest and a safest way to do a lift for us 5 luggers is to remove the strut ourself, take the strut and spacer to a place where they can install it. I'm not to sure how much it will be. Then put it back into your Taco. Get an alignment.

The leaf springs do not look to bad to install. i have seen some post here that show how to add-a-leaf.

On the other hand, you could do the install yourself. Only if you know how to use a spring compressor!

You are right, you do not need spring compressor for the Readylift Kit. But the other option (I don't think anyone else still does) was adding coil spring spacers, this is when a spring compressor is needed.

What kind of lift should I get for a 99 Taco that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Here's where I currently stand.

And here's where I would like to be.
