    Just had my LCA replaced and had this replace all cam bolts. I was wondering if this front cam bolt was installed upside down? My alignment was toe 0, camber 0, and caster 2.5.

    I was also wondering if this was something that could be fixed by just loosening the bolts and flipping the whole cam bolt 180 degrees?

    I don't know much about this sort of thing but judging by the rust marks it looks like the old one was up. I would be afraid loosening the bolt might throw of the alignment I could be wrong. I would take it back to where you had the work done if it is a problem.

    While the correct positioning is up, if the alignment is within specs, you should be fine.

    I don't think it would mess up your alignment, but now you have the flange of the bolt sticking down past the lower control arm mount.... seems like that isn't good.

    Moving that cam will definitely screw with the alignment. As noted above, if it is within specs, the visual position of the cam is not really important.

    Does anyone know or think that if the cam bolt got flipped to its correct position that the optimum alignment can still be achieved? I have ome 881 with top plate spacer and light racing UCA.

    When you do an alignement these kind of bolt are loosened all the way then turn it to reach the best values and you tight it back in. There's no problem in any position you put it.

    Do your truck received his alignement yet?

    Going to get its alignment in the morning. I took it back to get that bolt turned to where I've been told it should be. The tab now hangs below the control arm. I always thought it should be turned up instead of down. Maybe I'm wrong.

    I took the truck in this morning to get it aligned and they also flipped the cam bolt around for me. Everything aligned nicely. Toe 0, camber 0, and caster 2.4. The truck drives nice and straight. Now with almost 160,000 miles on it, I think I love driving it more than ever. I highly recommend old man emu.
