I need help with making this decision on the coils. From my research I have chosen the N91S struts (unless yall have compelling arguments). So here the deal on the springs with my truck. I have a revtek spacer lift now that has killed my coils. (Loved it for 60,000 miles now but it has ruined my ride on and off-road, also I know yall hate blocks but my 1&1/4" block has been great with no sagging in my leafs yet, I don’t put any weight on it unless I'm camping which isn't often enough, but I digress, so I'm not replacing the rear yet...but I can’t wait to do so.) I have an ARB bumper now but will add (after the lift) heavy duty skid plates and a winch in the future (how soon we never know). What I need help with is do I do the 882 or 883 coils. I'm at a loss.
    Thank in advance.

I prefer the 882s. That's what I have on my truck. Taller free height than the 883s, but the 883 has a stiffer spring rate so theortecially will handle load better (but will still be a stiffer rate). I chose the 882s because with the taller height I could deal with a fraction more sag than with the 883s without the stiffer rate and keep the final ride height about the same.

You're either accomplishing lift/load capacity with lift height or with spring rate. I chose to go with lift height. My experience has been good because the height is where I want it and the ride quality is great.

Well, I got a month to think about it, so I'm hoping that yall can help me with my final decision. Between 882vs883 and 90003vsN91s. :D

My thought process was similar to bassman. When I did my research, the 883 is a thicker coil and shouldnt sag as much over time. with a plan to run shrockworks, warn xp9000 winch, and the v6, I didnt want to get that 'flat' feeling as the shocks sagged.

I have been running the 883 with the Nitro Sport shocks for approx. 2500 miles. At first, it was tall and a little hard. but they have since settled into a really nice, tight ride. The truck has a nice soft bounce to it on road. Offroad, it soaks up the bumps like nothing. I really like it more the more I drive it.

I am happy with my choice on the 883s. I dont think you will go wrong either way. A full OME setup is a nicely prepared system. Happy researching, and dont forget to post pics and your observations when you get it installed.
