A spring......springs. You might want to discuss this with the paint shop. Powder coating does look great, but I wonder if it is too brittle for a flexing spring.

So you're going for a King coilover look? You will hardly see it and powdercoat would be a waste of money. Rattle can it if anything. Just my opinion.

Oh in that case, like I said you will barely see it but it won't hurt the spring. Powdercoat is pretty soft so it should flex with the spring, but I'm not positive.

Wrap one in blue painters tape and see if you like it.

Uhhhhhhh, not so fast. You have two questions to answer:

What's the temp at which powdercoating occurs?

At what temp will springs lose their temper?

Krylon Fusion would be my choice in a rattle can paint. It's pretty much my go to paint for everything. It will definitely handle the flexing.

While you are at it you should paint the inside of the drum brakes. That should look good also.

OP did you end up powder coating or painting? I was thinking about powder coating as well due to it's toughness but not sure about holding up to flexing. Painting is for sure the cheaper option but seems like it would scratch off easily. Anyones input would be great.
