My trigger time on a 45GAP Glock consists of about 100 rounds 8 years ago. I "believe" the recoil was a little less snappy than the .40. But I could be mistaken. Does anybody carry GAP on here?

    I usually have a S&W M&P 40c for concealed or I strap on my Beretta px4 Storm in 9mm

I don't have a need to carry all of the time, but I go biking on trails and we don't have the most "upstanding citizens" around here anymore. I'd rather be safe than sorry.... especially with no cell reception.

Another thing for you guys debating 9mm VS. .40 VS. .45 , mag capacity. I live in NY ( yeah yeah , I know..why the hell would i want to live here. ) We're restricted to 10 rounds on anything purchased after a certain date ( see below ). And you can't buy aftermarket over 10 either here ( violates the same law. ) So in that case the .45 isn't at much of a round count disadvantage. Just food for thought.

NYS Penal Law § 265.02(6) makes it a class D felony to possess "a large capacity ammunition feeding device," which is defined in Penal Law § 265.00(23) as "a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device, manufactured after [September 13, 1994], that has a capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than ten rounds of ammunition." Possession of unmarked "large capacity" magazines made after the sunset of the federal ban thus subject New Yorkers to felony charges. Police and prosecutors may be able to determine actual manufacture dates of seized magazines from information not generally available to consumers, such as the dates of magazine design changes and parts assembly numbers. The New York ban thus leaves possessors of unmarked post-ban magazines at risk of felony charges since they may not know the magazines were manufactured post-sunset and not pre-ban. However, the prosecution must be able to prove that the subject in possession of the magazine had knowledge that it was in fact a post-ban magazine.

    Wow.

The NY law is pretty tough and they're on shaky ground with their burden of proof.
I'd like to see a conviction challenged.

In California, possession is not illegal, but you can't import, assemble, or sell or offer for sale. Basically, you can't buy one because (with a couple of exemptions) it's not legal for one to be sold to a non-exempt person.

But even the morons in California realize that things get old and wear out, so it is legal to repair a worn or damaged magazine using new parts.
Legally, someone outside of California can ship all of the parts (disassembled) for a 30rd mag to me, and I can use those parts to repair my pre-ban mags.
This eliminates the NY claim of being able to verify the date of manufacture of unmarked mag bodies through production changes.

There's also a 36 month statute of limitations. A number of cases in California have been dropped out because the state had no way to prove that the magazines were imported, assembled, or unlawfully purchased within the previous 36 months.

I have a px4 9mm mounted in my truck. I have an xd9 or xd40 that I usually carry. I have a Bodyguard 380 for small conceal. I also have the m&p shield or a pt111 that would also work for carry. The others are too big for my liking.

I have CCW and carry Taurus TCP 380ACP in my pocket in pocket holster every day. Taurus 24/7Pro in .40 S&W in IWB when I go out at night to do service calls or Walmart...lol

Yes I am poor so Taurus has to do. I carry with one in the pipe so it will go off at least once (I hope).
