Still have yet to see my truck in the daylight so here is another poor pic from my phone. There was a roof basket on an OEM roof rack. The rack crumbled and the basket punched the roof in on the first impact. None of that gear lasted for a second impact. It got a little tight in the cab up front but still no prob for me. The cab is touching the headrests on the back seats though, entirely related to the physics of the crash. The barrel roll was executed in reverse so that part of the truck took the worst the the abuse.

Been there, know how pants crappingly scary it can be. Rolled a Mazda MVP van (going 75 mph) with a yakima carrier on it. Truthfully, it probably saved my life by absorbing a ton of energy before the roof got hit. Glad you walked away.. It sure wakes you up..

Still haven't seen the truck, work makes life difficult some times but its a necessary evil. :) Don't flame me... I went and put a deposit on a 2013 DCSB TRD Sport V6 6M in Silver Streak Mica and starting out with a TRD quickshifter to sweeten the feeling. Of course I will be driving for road conditions... this is my free round at life and that's a serious thing indeed. I know many of you appreciate the situation for many different reasons on various levels. I will never take my experience lightly and my excitement is a celebration of my continued existence. :D

Bent truck is gone. The parts that had value to me were stripped and replaced with stock parts as per an agreement with my adjuster. Close inspection has confirmed the truck is waaay more wrecked than I first believed:(. I really enjoyed that truck but my shiny new 2013 is quite exciting too. Looks like me and Tacoma World are gonna be building another truck;). Thank you all for the help with my '08, now to dial in my '13!!:D

Glad you're ok, but I'm even more impressed with your outlook on the whole situation; it's something else when mother nature gives us a hands-on lesson and allows us the right to see another day...
