You are 7.5 right? Stability might suck but the km2s in 255 are rated for up to a 8.5 inch wheel. And they are 33.5 inches i believe.

I'm really liking what I'm reading about the KM2's. I'm thinking the 255/85/16.

That gets me from ~ 31.5 ---> 33" diameter; another 1.5 inches off the ground!

This is a good deal if you come down to a 265/70, which I think looks great on a truck lifted 3" or less
    http://providence.craigslist.org/pts/3424316783.html

I had km2's in 285 and they were super loud and heavy, great offroad, but not as practical as the duratracs

Good deal. Wish they were for 16s. If you guys want the km2, ive just seen on ebay they have them in a size 255/75/17 in load c. That should save you some weight on them and mpg.

Wow there only 48lbs a tire. Thats light for an mt. My bfg were 54lbs so a more aggressive tire that weights less is always good

Most 33's are only 32.6". Which means only 1.1" more diameter so only 0.55" higher off the ground. In the case it was actually 33", then you'd be 3/4" higher. the other 3/4" would be in the wheel well on the other side of the axle.

255/85r16 measure 33.3 according to tire rack, 285/75/16 are less than 33. But ya youre right, his ride height would only increase by half the distance of the difference in tire size. In his case about .9 inches

Yes you can. I think its called the cooper sst max. They look good but I heard there super heavy. You can never have just a good side in tires. Always has to be a good and bad side

I think I will go with the 255 width. The 255/85/16 are E rated so stiffer sidewall which is a good thing ON road.

Is this what the jeeps came with?

These are probably not the best in snow unless you cut a bunch of sipes into those blocks.
