I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
I figured its about time i do a write up of my truck.

Here she is the day i got her. Thats my dads truck on the right.

    photo-2_91bfc03a048e7ed7526603c246f222df4ff23222.jpg

Here is my very first mod I did to the truck.

Eclipse AVN52D with Ipod adapter and Bluetooth. (got a good black friday deal on it all. 600 for that and the dash surround). My gf also got me a back up camera to go along with it.
    IMG_0111_fdf3494cb814c5d57dafd711553df5c310d56200.jpg

Here were my second mods (hard to see in the picture cause its daylight.) Fog light mod, DTRL mod, and alternating turn signals.

    IMG_0113_654927a1c2cb03a72fb6af0a70b7eb842287a0c2.jpg

Here was a last minute mod I did cause i was moving and needed to cover the cardboard boxes in my bed cause it was raining.
It's just some 13/64 plywood painted black to fit in the bed rails. (note the TW Sticker and cb antenna)

    photo1_e35b1f94bd645de7267bd6549f01d636b5b81898.jpg

Heres where I mounted my cb radio.
    IMG_0114_dc6657abc194d7c4df640c3fad88aa6a849dcc8e.jpg

    Heres my maglite mod.
    IMG_0115_4885c0efaf9cadce4cdd6552bbee0c34e3a10aba.jpg

I got done moving and decided it was time for a real bed cover. Its a lund tonneau. You can see the back up camera on the license plate.
    IMG_0108_c13dbaceebd56758d6f8c72ca4c2d2eb6e0c8acc.jpg

Then this happened. I was sitting in my room bored and was like fuck it, i'm doing it.
    DSC_0180_c2682001e2bffc478250bb9b809ab09a329d693a.jpg

    That turned into this temporarily
    DSC_0223_130dd3755e1c93054995363ee7246b0a60824639.jpg

I had to put some 1/4 inch poultry fencing in the grill temporarily cause i was taking a 12 hour road trip the next week.

And then the final satoshi grill. I put some KC slimlite driving lights behind the grill as well. (check the write-up I made in my signature)

    DSC02102_122ee5f83e087e55d8fae2d4f6e9848089af7416.jpg

Then I got creative, read the FSM and wire diagrams, and figured out a new method for LOCK/UNLOCK beep. (check my sig for the right up)

It's hard to take pictures of the actual mod itself cause the piezo buzzers are hidden

Then came some OME N140S front shocks, 885 coils, and toytec rear aal.
    DSC_0278_8db475d550b24b46503a57c06e2323a97f81bf91.jpg

Heres a picture of me and Lentsnh to show a comparison of size of 3 inch lift vs. stock
    DSC_0251_a7f5bc4d2a9b1c20ce2f8f94fec0a541db65d8a2.jpg

I also added a 12 volt cigarette lighter plug in the bed, but don't have pics of it.

I had the money ready to order my wheels and tires, but heres where that money went to.
    myjeep001_64fda75b07d7ce37ada41fc81238139acbdc6056.jpg
    myjeep007_d77c96f3af5399fee7187cfdc6a41ec175056f87.jpg

She's gonna be a great project. A 1973 CJ5 that needs lots of work to make it street ready again but i got it for dirt cheap and it has 35 bfg at's, 4 inch lift, dana 44's, and some kind of front and rear bumpers (i'm still learning jeep stuff)

Let me know what you guys think. I'll post picture updates when more things come.

Finally, after almost 2 years, I got my wheels and tires! They are 285/65/18 Nitto Trail Grapplers on 18x9 XD Addicts (4.5 BS, -12mm offset). Im absolutely ecstatic about them.

    What do you guys think?

Well a year has passed since i updated this, figure i will. Wrecked my truck pretty good about 3 months ago and was forced to move on. Insurance money wasn't enough to get what I wanted, plus I drive 2k+ miles a month. I ended up getting a 2011 hyundai elantra. Gonna love getting 40 mpg, but gonna hate driving a little car. But in the mean time I got a 99 xj, and have been working on it. Lifted it, threw some 33's under it, trimmed the fenders, and I'm good to go.

Wonder how long it will take the alabama guys to notice i posted it here as I already put the info in my profile haha

    IMG_20120404_191350_590b4fd46537c04cd432d27215a7c73e9e01a61e.jpg

Finally did some better wheeling with the jeep. Don't get me wrong, I love tacoma's, but it takes a pretty well built tacoma to go places a mildly built jeep like mine can go. Pretty much the main advantages are wheelbase and sfa. The tacomas are leeps and bound more powerful and better built than these jeeps are.

yeah, that. It's either that or drop 1k on a trailer or try and weld on a tow bar. I'd rather do neither, fix the steering, tires, and lights. Maybe the spedometer :)
