This is my first post. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but....

I have searched everywhere I could to find out what the name of the plastic insert is on either side of the stereo console. The inserts are located just below the ac vents on either side. On some Tacoma models, on the left side, the 4 wheel drive switch is mounted to it; on the right side the passenger side air bag switch is mounted to it.

Could someone please direct me to where I can get a replacement? I would appreciate it.

    I've attached an image.

    Thanks.

This should get you started. I used that spot for my off road light switch and I bought a new cover in case I ever decide to go back to stock. Mine is a DC so no airbag switch but it should be in the neighborhood.
