    Howdy!
I'm Alan Loshbaugh, and below is my new-to-me 2005 Access Cab 4x4.
4.0, 6 speed manual, LSD rear; 76,000. Nice little truck.
I'm not a 4x4 newbie, or a Toyota newbie. If any of you are Land Cruiser owners, I may know you. I served on the TLCA board of directors for 10 years, and then as president for 4 years. I used to be a regular on the tlca event circuit, but haven't done that for a while.

    I sold my 1966 FJ45LV, and 1984 FJ60, and then saw this when I wasn't looking for a replacement....
It's in nice enough shape. It needed tires when I got it, I found some TRD/SR5 takeoff wheels and tires on local CL. I didn't know about you guys at that point, y'all have quite the active classifieds section!

Airbag light is on; my local dealer says that's a clock spring recall, and stop by any time for the fix...Inside and outside cleaned up pretty well. The finish in the frame isn't that intact, and surface rust has started. Kinda weird, because everything else under the truck is in nice shape. At any rate, I have a two step process in mind to stop that before it gets out of hand:

this is what I plan to do at this point

    Inside frame:

    exterior frame:

While I've rebuilt most everything on a Land Cruiser, many times, I know nothing of these trucks, and their strong points (other than it's a Toyota!) or their foibles.
I use it to haul my dog and my mountain bike 1-4 miles each way to one of two state parks I live in between; so it won't get a lot of miles on it.
My only plans at this point are to get the frame sealed up this spring once it's warm enough to paint, and some small suspension something.

Coil spacers up front, and progressive AAL in the rear? Maybe find some TRD takeoff coils and shocks? I probably won't even go as big as 33's on this truck. It has 265/70R16 on it now, which I think are 31-ish.

Aside from that, I'm hoping to change fluids and drive it :)
