    Mine's just "floating there."
Went to the dealer yesterday, and looked at the parts breakdown with my friendly parts guy: it doesn't show any fasteners to secure it to the console.

There's got to be a simple fix for this, but the parts breakdown doesn't show it.

    thx for help!

Its supposed to clip into the opening in the console, IIRC, the clips are on the bottom ring of the boot. Perhaps they are broken off on yours?

No clips; and the parts book doesn't show any; so I can't rightly order them...
If you have pix or part numbers, that'd be helpful.

Ok, I just popped mine out to refresh my memory. On the underside of the console there are four tabs on the sides that the ring of the boot snaps into (part of the console). Put the ring of the boot down through the opening, then pull the boot up squarely. It will take some effort.

Note the two groups of three tabs on the underside of the opening.

How it should look when in place.

Finally got out to the shop and did this.
    It took about 18 seconds.

Thanks a lot for the photos, it was really helpful!
