'10 acc. Cab pre-runner I was given a aal with ext. shock and front trd coil over bilstein w/spacer. Little usage on both. 3" lift. My taco only has 13k on it and it rides great. They do look better with some lift. Anyone out there with the same lift that is happy with it? Wheels and taller tires on the wish list. Currently have stock 16's. thanks for your input

I wouldn't lift it. You're putting your truck in a very small market for resale. People who opt for 2WD over 4WD likely do it to save money and save on fuel economy (or just plain don't need it). People looking for a lifted truck will scoff at a 2WD truck being lifted. I think you'd have a hard time selling it in the future because the lift only detracts value when it's on a 2WD truck.

Ya I am re- thinking this. Maybe I will mount a set of bilstein 5100's on the front and just level it out at .85" or so.

Get some bigger tires and put the lift on. Who wouldn't do it if it was free(if you really want a lift)? Why worry about resale down the road? Enjoy your truck now. If you go to sell or trade remove the lift and sell it separately. You paid nothing for it so it'll be profit.

Enjoy my truck now. Good point. I can hold onto the stock susp. And as you said go back o.e. if I sell/trade. Thx

    OME Lift
Spacers will effect ride quality so be prepared for that. Like others have said put it on and try it out, the only thing it will cost you is an alignment. Just keep the factory susp. in case you wish to go back.

I mean if you don't need a lift, why use a lift? Just a suggestion here: you could level the front with 5100s and sell the other lift components for a profit!

Then get some good looking 265s :D

I really hate to lose the ride quality with the spacer lift. I dont get off road. I thought about the 5100 front install and taller tires. Are 16's in 265 as tall as I can go with bilsteins on front and stock rear?

Lift it if you want. It is your truck.

Save the stock suspension. When you are ready to sell, put the stock suspension back on.

I lifted my PreRunner with the same setup as you are talking about. I really enjoy the truck and Bilsteins have improved my ride quality. It looks and performs great. I lost roughly about 2 mpg with this setup. I have taken this truck in places that most 4-wheel drive full size trucks wouldn't even go. I just wish mine was free...

On completely stock suspension you can fit 265/75/16 or 265/70/17. I guess 265/65/18 would be an option too but I prefer sticking with a 16 or 17" wheel myself.

You took a 2WD truck where most 4WD trucks wouldn't go, because of a lift...?

The list of places where a 2WD truck with a lift would outperform a stock 4WD truck is very small.

I have an '06 AC TRD OR. I went economy and got a spacer lift with 1" blocks in the rear the first time I lifted it. My ride quality didn't really suffer at all up front and no change in the rear, but you absolutely have to get an alignment from a reputable shop (take pics of your LCA alignment eccentricities before going in!). I put 285/75/16s. little bit of rubbing at full lock with wheels spacers.

Honestly, I would do it again. Especially if you got it for free!

On a side note, my buddy ran 275/75/16s on his rig and said he had no rubbing. Just a thought.

I took my truck before and after the lift most places FULL SIZE 4-wheel drive trucks wouldn't go. The lift gave my extra clearance for to handle more obstacles. The Key here is the weight difference between a Full Size Chevy or Ford.

Thanks for the great input from all! I may go ahead and give it a try. Worse case I can pull it back off if the ride suffers too much. Thanks again

I lifted my old one. And personally they look better with a little bit of lift. Just put on like a 2" or 3" lift with it level and throw some AT's or MT's on the stock rims. I think it looks good and won't affect the resale at all. Here's mine before and after. I put on 33" Open Country AT 2's with a 3" spacer in the front and no lift in the rear. I was going to level it out later. But she's gone now. Sadly.
