Leaf spring sag

Based on the pic I have posted, do I have the dreaded spring sag? Comments from the Forum's experts would be appreciated. Based on my forum searches and what I have been able to peice together, it appears I do. Intuition and common sense tells me springs should curve up, not down.

Background:
-1998 SR5
-6 cyl, 5 spd,4WD
-ext cab
-150,000 mi (mostly hwy)
-small camper shell, otherwise usually unloaded
-Occasional off-road, camping in summer, skiing in winter (Lake Tahoe area, CA).
-Bought the truck at 140,000 miles and not sure how it was driven/used by prev. owner. May have been road hard and put away wet for all I know.

I would like to fix the problem (if it is a problem). My desire is to keep it as close to stock as possible, but not opposed to upgrades within reason. Comments on possible fixes also appreciated.

Cheapest thing to do is either check craigslist for a slightly used leaf pack or TTORA classifieds for a stock leaf pack, theyll be used but most times with low mileage and almost given away

 

Yes, your leaf packs are practically dead, especially if you carry a shell. Get aftermarket leaf packs from wheelersoffroad.com maybe.

welcome to Tw and yes you seem to be saggin, think about investing in a leaf pack as stated above

and wouldnt a AAL help with the sagging prob?

 

Thanks to all for the welcome and the comments. Seems strange that for such a great product that Toyota takes a quality hit on things as basic as weak leaf springs, frame corrosion, etc. Oh well...every good vehicle has its quirks and overall the little truck does very well.

AAL would be like polishing up a turd, Springs are done for, adding an aal could do more harm than good

 

Just get the new leafs and it'll feel like a new truck.

Yup. Stock height. I was not looking for more height in the back. Yet.
