Hey guys i have a 2011 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab, it has the IVAN STEWART TRD rims and tires 285/75, r16. i got it off a dealerhsip, and am having trouble having the tires clear when making turns. whem im off roading its eben worse. they will hit the side of the inner frame. The truck does not have an additonal lift besides the standaerd lift of the two blocks in the back and shocks in front. it was worse when i hade mud flaps there, so i took them off, but am still noticing the rub somtimes when i turn
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Yaro

Do a search for the wides tires you can have on stock w/out a lift. Think they are 275 or 265s. I know 285s are too big.

You will most likely need to do the Cab Mount Chop (CMC).

I wouldn't tolerate "dealing with it" on a truck you just bought from a dealer that have tires that don't fit and are going to constantly rub.

its got a lift, and isnt constantly rubbing... it rubs SOMETIMES when he turns. OP, i'd either chop the cab mount, or buy a nice lift. that is a nice/expensive wheel/tire package, and i wouldnt go trade them back to the dealer....

well ive been looking at other Taco Wheels and have noticed that many others have same size tires as me. i.e 285/75. but havent tlaked to nayone else thats been having the same problem. ive had teh truck for a year and a half, not sure what he dealer ship would do? it doesnt happen every time, but every time im off roading or doing a turn into a higher lifter road. i cant afoord a nice lift, just too mcuh time and money for the use of the truck, plus then it wont fit into my gargae lol. for the guys out there that have doen the ab mount chop, is it an easy thing to do, and does it effect performance in any way hsape or form, ?
