i'd be afraid a lady friend might be temped to shoot me after an off-collar comment with a weapon that close to them.

Nice mount. Love the 1911. They are fun to shoot.
I can't have a mount like that in mine. Daughter sits up front a lot. I just keep mine in the console.

You know, you are going to have to get rid of that clip shortly. It might get up on it's own and cause problems. :D

Tint (35%), a must. Step bars, Bull bar, Bull lights,4x4 light mod, Flip down 10" DVD player, De badged, Color match front emblem, color matched bumpers., black out tails, Cobra cb, Flashlight mod,bed-light mod,
^^ You would never be able to unholster that firearm with any ease. There is not enough leg room in the Tacoma for a mount like that!

    Thanks!

Yea, it is the stick on kit from ebay. They show the dark burl wood on the auction, but I picked the lighter color.

Thanks, it is an 80 series gov model.

I love the 1911, it was one of the first guns I ever purchased many years ago.

I hear ya on the clip. You know they like to get up on their own and cause havoc.

Yea I was just curious because I do the water transfer printing on a lot of dash pieces. I like to see what others have done.

I love my 1911s. Best trigger I've ever pulled.

I think it's cool that your grips match the dash woodgrain. :D

I use the Hogue wraparound grip on my full-size Kimber (I have very large hands); it feels good in my hand, but doesn't look nearly as nice as the wood grips.

I use the Colt rubber grip on my Colt 1911. The wood grips (or as Colt calls them, "Stocks") look great but for me the rubber provides a better all weather grip. Pachmayr grips are also nice and I go back and forth between the Colt and Pachmayr on the 1911. Hogue makes some mighty nice grips also.

Did you mount it exposed for ease of access or because you do not have a CCW permit?
