I love everything about my '13 taco. Except this one thing. Perhaps it's designed to help us stop using dip. Perhaps I'm about to break this centre console.
Happened just as I cut the seal open, put my knife down and the can slipped outta my hand into this damn cup holder. Now it's been an hour into my drive & I think I'll just go buy a new can.

Can't you just flip the edge of the can up with your knife, or does it fit so perfectly that you need a suction cup?

 

crank a self tapper into it then pull it out. Then quit that disgusting, female repellant, habit.

 

LOL, I know where your coming from, however my 12 manual has two big cup holders that don't eat the tin.

 

get a lag bolt...screw it into the lid and drag it out

 

Just pop that cover out. Just held in by little clips, easy to do and flip t over tell the can falls out and then put it back. Haha

 

If its skoal the tops are magnetic so u could use a magnet

 

it doesnt like tobacco products it seems.

 

This. Unscrew the shift knob and pop the bezel off.

 

Happens to me all the time u can get it out with ur keys

I dont even have to unscrew the shift knob. Just angle it right and it slides over it.

Of course when I set my knife down, it fell over the passenger seat between the door. After an hour of staring at it with nothing to pry it out with, I had to just pull over & get my knife lol

 

I actually have to unscrew mine. No way the shift knob is fitting through that small opening.

 

Leave it in there so the next can can't fall in

 

I use my little magnetic screw-grabber from one of my toolkits when that happens. Keep it in one of the front holders!

 

i was gonna suggest that.
