The other day I attended a car meet locally. I meet a gentleman who informed me that the Shrockworks front plate bumper restricts the clearance if you want to run 33 in tires, due to the side lip of the bumper being to far back. Considering I do not have 33s, but do want them in the future, I wanted to know what you guys thought before I pulled the trigger.
He stated that from his "experience" that "alot of guys end up seriously cutting into the side of the bumper near the wheel well to allow you to go to full wheel lock with 33s."

It will have an OME lift on it soon enough, so height wont be an issue with the tires.

I really don't want to cut my bumper though:eek:

Have any of you guys heard anything like this?

What's the big deal if you need to dock the bumper ? Is it powdercoated or sumthin ?

You'll run into clearance problems at the firewall before you have clearance problems with the bumper. You gain ample clearance at the front of the wheel well when the shrockworks bumper is installed, and will the OME lift you'll clear 33's no problem.

Here is a pic of a stock truck with stock tires and a shrockworks bumper.

33's should be no issue. if you bump to 35" you will have to cut. On my ARB I cut about 6" off for it to fit my 35" and match with my fiberglass fenders

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
At full bump 33's would rub that bumper for sure.
