Bumper Damage From Snow Blower

The blizzard of 2013 had burried my new 2013 Taco which is only 3 weeks old. While clearing my driveway, I hit the front bumper skirt with the snow blower. I can replace the piece for $106.00 + shipping or try to repair it myself without it looking real stupid. It seems like it is injected plastic. Would using a fine grit sandpaper smooth out the scratches? Is there such a thing as a repair kit for somthing like this?

 

I would just tape off the entire piece and plastidip it

 

try a heat gun. should melt the scratches back in.

Or, if it were me, plastidip or Satin Black spray paint. That way you could touch it up. It's bound to get scratched again and that's an easy repair...

 

X2. They should smooth out using the heat gun and then you can think about some polishing and/or painting.
