I sent this PM to biomed80 a couple weeks ago. When I was researching about wheels:

I came across this chart and talked to a Discount Tire Rep., he said an offset of -19 is would be good. I am assuming this is what they put on your Taco. So I was able to get the width of the wheel (8") and the assumed offset (-19) and found your backspacing to be 3.75".

Yea you might be riight i tried some 6+ offset that hit im not stuck on these wheels either. I went from one end off the scale to another. Itll only cost me a few bucks to return if i dont like how they fit.

I was gonna do 30X9.5 on my Taco w/ Readylift installed. After research, I will run 31X10.50 on my Taco.

I want to put the biggest tire I can with the Readylift installed. There have been a few people I have seen that are running 31X10.50. Other than having bigger tires on my Taco, I have no other reasons. There are some threads I have read over and took notes on what I want to build. You can click my signature to see my list.

Have you checked to see how much those procomps weigh? I had originaly wanted pc 8179s 4 wheel parts told me no way they would fit. Yhe reason i was gonna do alloy (black)for weight savings. Any idea on how many lbs ? You seem to have done your research thanx

Nothing special at the moment just a K&N air filter.
According to some info the only way to clear the calipers on a 15x7 or 8 is to have a negitive offset or an offset greater than +19mm. At this point I'm hating Toyota. The only parts availible are either special order, from Toyota, or extreemly hard to find. Its very frustrating for joe blo to get parts other than the dealership or special order or if you can find them they jack the price WAY WAY UP.:boom::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Because more rubber is being added :)D) I decided to go with a lighter wheel. I was browsing around 4 Wheel Parts to see what is available for my (our) 5 lug. I came across these wheels. The wheels I have in mind are Pro Comp 8069-5865, they weigh 20 lbs each. Here is a link that give info on some wheels.

I agree, it is difficult to buy for our 5 lug. I will get the wheel and tires test fit before I make a purchase. Withthe help from fellow 5 lug-owners, I am able to narrow my search to what I want on my Tacoma.

Yep agreed the best method the tried and trued method.
If any one could find someone with a set of cragar soft 8's 15x7 or 8's and could give me some specs on something that fits no mods that would be great.

CaliforniaTaco has deffinatly got them but with the part# he gave me they are -13mm offset(Summit Racing CRR-3975812). Those Sport Editions are going be on order this week sometime hopefuly, have pics up by next week. They are going to be wraped with 235/75R16 in either a Dunlop Radial Rover A/T's or Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmor. I realy want the Goodyears though, all around better tire. Looks like its going to depend on how much money I'm willing to spend.:D:p
