    ok.. after 20 pages.. i learned alot about tires.. but i dont think i got my question answered... i will have a toytec ultimate liftkit put on... also with tc uca's and an all pro bumper... i already got my mudflaps removed... im thinking about getting the nitto terra grapplers.. i guess 285/75/16.. i will be putting it on stock rims. Is there alot of rubbing..... ?

    Toytec 3 inch suspension lift, Mickey T wheels, BFG MT's, weston bull bar and step bars, and aftermarket stereo
    I have had lots of trouble getting advice on wheels everyone seems to have a different opinion. For my 03 it was a nightmare to get wheels. I sent emails and talked on the phone with several tire websites, local shops, this site, and eventually mickey thompson (which is the wheel i went with). I have a toytec 3 inch lift and when my lift was installed my stock tire on stock rim was only about 3/4 inch away from the upper control arm. So what I am saying is you might not be able to use your stock rims with those size tires it might not push it out far enough away from your vehicle to clear. They have to have the right offset and backspacing. Best way to find out is to contact your local toyota dealer or the manufactor of the wheel you are buying. Most of them have charts that tell if it will fit your ride. You shouldnt have much rub if any at all though with the right wheels. Expecially since those grappers dont have large lugs.

    you Can't running those tires on stock rims without using the spidertrax spacers due to the fact that these stock wheels BS is too deep. For perfect set up you might want to invest in those FJ Trail team Edition or atleast the replicas if you want to save some money and still be with the trd wheels if you don't feel like running after markets...

Theres more I just cant think of it right now.
    I ran 285/70/17 Hercules TerraTrac A/T on my Stock Sport rims for almost 2 years. And I went offroading pretty often. They did rub on the stock UCAs at crank but for normal driving they were fine. You are running TC UCAs which are smaller around the uniball. so more space there. You should try it. If it doesnt work you can keep the tires and just get new wheels and then you will be set. Good luck.

    alright... here's another one.. im looking for a rim to fit 285/75/16.. not exactly sure what will fit... i would like black rims... preferably matte black.. anyone got any suggestions?

    Just search around your local craigslist or ebay. There are a ton of websites online with really good prices. Also check local tire shops. There's no one website with the best prices just gotta do some research and see em all! I was lucky enough to get my km2s at 720 and im sure you can get a good deal too!

    It'll fit on the stock rim just fine. That's not the issue.
    The issue comes with the stock wheels not having enough backspacing to the point where you rub the UCA, the LCA and the cab mount and the front fender liner.
