Hi all, I just bought a 2013 Trd sport, sb, 4dr, 4x4 and I'm getting ready to meet with a dude that did my husbands jeep build. All I'm looking for is a 3" leveling lift to fit some chunky 33" tires w/17" rims. This dude is trying to sell me an ikon lift kit. From what I've read this is an aggressive lift. I want comfortable highway ride, not looking to mud or crawl. Just want the look. Any input? Thanks!

Bilstein 5100 set at 2.5", 2" AAL, Fog light mod.
As far as I know, you are right, the Icon lift is more aggressive. I've never looked them up much so I know little to nothing about them.
On the other hand I do know about the Bilstein 5100s and with them installed on my truck at the 2.5" lift setting I still feel it rides just as good as stock and I can fit 285/70/17 tires which are a little shy of 33inches tall. The 5100 are very reasonably priced from 300-400 dollars depending on where you buy them from.

For the rear lift I did an add-a-lead(AAL) which gave me 2" of lift. I got a set of leafs from a guy I work with so it cost me nothing to do my truck but I think the AAL kits cost somewhere are the $200 mark.

tinted windows, Remote start.code alarm system. 6" BDS suspension lift, Nitto 35s ,Weathergard floorliner and window deflector. Wet okole covers, bull bar with Rigid lighting, CSjumpers LED all around and inside.
I did a rough country 3" leveling kit. Has not changed the ride of the truck. I'm enjoying it.

The guy is far overselling you and not listening to your needs, leave him behind and got get an ome setup, you'll be happy you did.

I have a 2" (leveled) 884 with OME all around. My buddy with ikon setup, 2008 tacoma, complains about how hard his truck rides, yet loves my ride.

BTW, I came from a Lexus so I was concerned over road ride quality and being able to hold my own off road, I got both. The ikon is way overkill for your needs

Check out one of these below. Sounds like this guy is trying to sell you on something more expensive than you need.

Thank you so much for taking the time!! I spoke with him and he finally got me. He is used to doing crawler builds so he didn't understand why I would want to go any other way. I think I'm going with the 3" level lift w/33" xtreme all terrains on 17" rims. I'll post pics when it's done! Yay!!! Soooooo excited!! I am also doing a cat back and air box. :)

With your 2" lift, did you replace the UCAs? Any issues with vibration?
