Hi everyone. Recently bought my first Tacoma. As the subject says, it is a four door 2013 Tacoma Sport, automatic, with the "long box". I've had it since December and love it.

Already getting a bit of the modding bug. I installed an amateur radio unit and some switches from otrattw.com. Ordered a canopy, will be ordering a K&N cold air kit shortly and hoping to throw a winch bumper on in the not-too-distant future. Looking at the bumpers from All Pro Offroad in Calgary, AB. I am an avid search and rescue volunteer so function is the name of the game, but it's nice if it can look good at the same time.

I also would like to install a second battery with some form of isolation to run my amateur radio and future accessories (The amateur radio in my truck can function as a repeater for my handheld when in the field. Very useful, but I don't want to come back to a dead truck). Not sure of the best means to do this yet though. Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of room for a second battery under the hood. And I think I'd like to keep my box empty. Thinking of maybe some type of gel cell system stored in the cab?
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

Anyhow, I'll post some pictures of the truck as soon as I have it clean for more than five minutes.

    Welcome from a fellow Canuck.

I would advise against the K&N as the oil can bug up the intake sensors. Look into it, there are plenty of threads on here about it. I have the AFE Pro Dry S Drop in filter coupled with the TRD Exhaust and I love the combination!

Enjoy the truck, shes a beaute! Get some pics up!

Thanks guys. And thanks for the info on the K&N filters. From what I've read, think I'll just stick to OEM for now. Which is fine with me, I've seen a few other toys on here that I can spend that money on. Like a Thule MOAB basket or something similar.

Welcome! Check out Relentless fab, he makes awesome bumpers. And he'll customize it pretty much however you need it.
