i have a 2010 dcsb, with procomp 7105's(17x8/4.5 bs,5100's @ .85 on stock springs and tsb)i'm currently on 265-65-17,i'd like to go with yoko geolanders at at 265-70-17,saw some on a 4runner yesterday and man, they were close to hitting the leading edge of the front plastic, there was barely an inch clearance even with the stock wheels.my tires look too small with my current configuration...i'll be getting my tires within the next couple of weeks.i'm just trying to figure out what makes the difference for tire clearance...is it the 4.5 bs of the wheels that gives clearance for a 70 series tire,or is it the minimal lift provided by the 5100's,or a combination of the two?

1" lift from 3rd gen suspension, 265/75/16 ATs
I have American Racing wheels, 16x8, 4.5bs and 0 offset with 265/75/16 (same overal size as 265/70/17) Yohohama Geolandars A-T/S tires. I'm on stock suspension, no lift.

These are quite tall, according to the website, these are 31.9'. I had to loose front mudflaps to clear them. To be 100% rub free, I had to bend the end of the fender flare that is normally covered by the front mudflap inward. After that no rubbing, even at full lock and reverse. I don't offroad however.

well,i finally made a decision on tires, went with nitto terra grapplers(265-65-17)first off, they were purchased and installed at serra toyota in birmingham.their price was comparable with anyone else i checked, the difference was that i always get good service at this dealership, and i've been looking at most of the service techs since 1999,when i purchased my first prerunner there...they always get my balance spot-on,and if it ain't right, they'll get it right!after the install..it was raining by the time i got out and i had to make my usual trip across town to pick up my grandson(18 mi interstate)these tires are smooth and quiet,100% better than the bridgestone deulers that came stock, they lasted 44,000 mi.at that point they were an accident waiting to happen.i was torn on sizes,so i just decided to stay with what i knew would fit, sure the 70 series sidewall would've been sweet, but i was'n in the market to pay for "test-fits",they sit out nicely because of the backspace on my wheels, happy about that.as to the mileage claims that some aren't happy with, that remains to be seen.my truck is my daily driver, and i have no desire to go bashing thru the woods or crawling over rocks,i did opt for the nitrogen fill and my dealer will rotate free of charge, currently i'm at 34lbs psi and the ride is smooooth!another reason i decided to stay away from some of the "tire shops" i visited was the employees/tire changers looked like "bubbas",not professional at all, sure, tire changing is a dirty job..but dude, wear a uniform and pull yer dang pants up...if personal appearance isn't an issue, then i'm sure my truck will only be another rag to beat on to them...turns me off!
