Well. I was thinking of a club on the steering wheel but they don't seem to do much. I think having bright lights outsid might make a difference. I would assume these trucks are somewhat hard to steal since you need a chip key.

I parked at Home Depot one time, got out of my truck and looked at the vehicle next to me - there was a 2-ft iguana on the passenger seat staring at me - scared the shiiit out of me. I don't like reptiles anyway, but it was more the unexpected surprise that got me.

In South Carolina we have something called the Castle law. It basically says that if your house or car are broken into, you can kill the sob because he could be in there for any number of reasons to include rape, murder, theft, so on and so forth. So basically if someone breaks in you can kill them because you dont know what their intentions are.

If you or someone is in you car or house when someone breaks in then hell yeah that is fair game because you don't know their intentions. But it if no one is in the car then it is just property. Not sure about home though.

I took a concealed weapons class recently from a company that teaches all over the nation so this stuff is still pretty fresh in my head. We didn't cover a "what if you come home and you no none of your family is in there but you find your door kicked in or broken into." The guy would tell you to not risk your life and just call the cops. Not sure whether you would have the right to investigate it yourself. Unless of course your state has a "right to protect property with lethal force" but most states don't anymore.

So basically you can only use a firearm to protect from kidnapping, rape, murder, and physical harm, Not theft or even just verbal attacks or to scare someone off.

Oh I should note that some states have a "right to retreat" law, which means that by law you have to retreat from a situation if that is an option. Basically means that if they can prove you could have retreated from the situation rather than confronted it, you are now in trouble as well. I don't think this applies to your home though, at least in the sense of you are home and someone breaks in, don't quote me on that though... I forgot about this law because it doesn't apply in my state or some of my neighboring states so I don't have to worry about it.

Brady T88, in this country, criminals have more rights than hardworking citizens....you can not shoot an intruder in your home UNLESS your life is in danger....so if a woman is being raped, that woman's life is not in danger... if an intruder is armed and he is not pointing it at you, your life is not yet in danger....if your car is being vandalized in front of you, you can not do anything but call the number who will take all infomations and tell you there is nobody they could send because of budget cuts.....and so on...and on....the most that could happen to you and all of us working citizens is be part of statistics.....
