i been searching a while, and decided i want to go with a forged wheel. ive narrowed it down to either weld or centerlines. i was wondering if any of you guys could leave some of your guys personal reviews if you had experience with any of these companies wheels. i dont mind paying the premium if the price is worth it, cause i know welds are pricey as heck. i appreciate all input. thanks in advance.

just a sample of the wheels im looking at:
centerline scout (size: 17x9, BS: 4.5", offset: -12mm)
    http://centerlinewheels.com/wheels_detail.php?mw_id=125&sw_id=1080

    weld racing t50 (size: 17x10, BS: 4.8", offset: -19mm)

no feedback, nothing? i was actually looking for chatter more on centerlines than welds. welds already have that reputation of being the best for forged truck wheels, hence the very expensive price tag. when i think centerlines, i think old school, but they look like they came a very long way since then. their wheels selection looks good and the price isnt half bad either. gonna call weld about their t56 wheel and see if they can custom make it, if not gonna go with centerlines. i guess ill be the guinea pig lol.

ok, seems like im talking to myself in this thread. as long, as someone can take away good information from this, its all good; BRING ON THE VOICES >=).

i just ordered a pretty brand new set of weld cheyennes. got a pretty good deal on them. size:17x10, BS:4.5, offset:-25, hub bore:108mm. i know this is going to be a tight fit on my lift, but i do think this is gonna be doable. there is a lot of clearance right now with my 4runner trail rim setup (265/70/17) and my icons are sitting slightly over 3" with more to crank since i do have extended travel. do you think a 285/70/17 will fit on this wheel?

well in my opinion the centerlines look better.
Quality is important, but top of the line is unnecessary in my opinion. These are trucks, not sports cars. My truck has American Racing Baja rims, probably not what you want though.

I don't know anything about offset, what will fit your truck, and so on. Free bump though.

i agree i liked the centerlines too. they have that old school look to them, but they had the good sizes with the good backspacing.

Are the welds 550 per rim?

alright ordered a brand new set of weld stonecrushers. will update in a couple weeks when i get the wheels in. bought another set in the event my first set absolutely does not fit with my current lift.

    set #1: weld cheyenne (size:17x10, offset:-25mm, BS:4.5", hub bore:108mm), anticipating throwing on a 285/70/17 mud terrain tire.

    set #2: weld stonecrushers (size:16x8, offset:3mm, BS:4.6", hub bore:108mm), anticipating throwing on a 285/75/16 all terrain tire.

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
 285s wont work on a 10" wheel, most manufacturers recomend 9" as max width and -25mm offset! Holy balls thats ganna stick out alot, plus you will probably want some 315s for a 10" wheel. So with that your tire will stick out like 3" more than stock

    Edit: 315s for a 10" wheel thats a 12" wide tire

So wait you ordered both sets? The 16x8s will be a better option. 17x10 -25mm offset and fat tires you will rub the cab mount BAD and probably destroy wheel bearings.

LOL yeah i ordered both sets. the deal was a very good one, two different places, but two good deals non the less. im a bit skittish on the 17x10 tbh. couldnt give up the deal though. i might jst save them for a 6" lift. but i dont mind trying to see where and how bad it is. the stone crushers i know for a fact will fit with little to no modifications, even with that 285/75/16...its the other wheels LOL  .

285's will work on a 10" wheel. I have them on my truck and they don't stick out alot.

Wow. Tire manufacturers recommend a max wheel width of 9" for 285s

Has run 285's and 305's on the 10" wide wheel alot and no problems. I see people runing 265 and 275 on 10's as well not that I would recomend that but I think a 285 is perfect on a 10" wheel

a bit of an update. my rims did not come in, but the first set is expected to arrive here on monday. not bad for parcel post to hawaii. i did buy a set of 285/75/16. i will say these tires are huge in person. when i seen them in pics, they dont look THAT big. they are pretty big lol. i was set up to go with goodyear wranglers mtrs, but decided to go with the firstone destination mts since not people run them and i got a pretty good price on them.

3/14/13 update: so, FINALLY my two sets of welds came in. well, not exactly, more like one and a half sets LOL. the last two boxes should arrive any day now. i went through the boxes and the wheels are very nice. the stone crushers (right in pic) are brand new look awesome. the cheyennes (left in pic) are used, but look awesome as well. the downfall (for me) is, that their chrome. not really fond of chrome. gonna probably throw them up on the local craigslist since everyone loves cheyennes in hawaii LOL and grab another set. i did mount the tires tha a bought a couple weeks ago to the two stonecrushers. they look absolutely phenomenal. cant wait to get all four mounted up.

also i got picked up this little jewel the other day. its supposedly a hilux but its more like a tacoma with a 4th gen 4runner front end lol. i remember the xrunner guys buying up the xrunner rc trucks and modifying them before they got discontinued. i got this at rejects on super sale (ROSS) if you guys looking for a mini me model for you trucks LOL.
