The reviews on carid.com seemed good. I think they will be fine as long as I reseal them.

Should be okay if you seal them. It's the projector ones that really end up being garbage.

Bought these last year. They are holding up pretty good so far. Make sure to seal them, I developed condensation after install. Had to take apart reseal and reinstall. You are going to have to cut the ends of the grill that extend over your original lights because these come as one whole piece. By that I mean that the signal lights are attached to the headlights. If you need more pics let me know. Hope this helps.

I have them on my truck as well, and love the look. I did get a good puddle of water in mine after it rained once, but took it off and emptied it and resealed it, and since have had no problems except the LEDs are not as bright where the water sat. I would buy them again though. Also, they don't come with bulbs in terms of headlight bulbs, they just come with the LED strip inside

I'm planning on getting these Spyder headlights, but I'm curious about the resealing. What exactly does that mean? Are they not simply ready to install straight out of the box? Any help or input would be appreciated!

With any aftermarket light it's a good idea to put silicone around the seam where the housing meets the lens as well as where the bulb socket turns into the housing. I've had a set of crappy $10 ebay clear corners for about 5 years now that I sealed up nice and no leaks.

Subd. I might consider these. Are there any other alternative companies making custom headlights for our trucks like this?

Install is really easy and straightforward. You have to take the grille off and cut the ends of of it off (I used a dremmel), but then you re-install and put in the headlights and it's done!

I'm interested in these headlights too. Could any of y'all put some pictures up of the cutting you had done to fit them correctly? Thanks!

Just a note, you CAN install these without cutting, if you're really anxious about it. It makes it really easy if you do. But I did without any cutting. Basically you take the grill off, insert the lights through the grille, then install the whole grille with the headlights resting in place, juggle and wiggle it all in, and it will all bolt together and the grille will snap in place. A bitch to do, but works if you really don't wanna cut. Otherwise, you just cut the very end tabs off. Don't have any pics for ya though. If you want I could make a vid for you guys showing how to install w/o the cutting...

Has anyone wired the LED lights to your corner lights? If so, how did you go about tapping into the corner light wiring?

Yes. I made my own harness tapped into the corner lights.
But you can use these splicing taps. Easiest way.

Or these but I don't care for them. They tend to come loose.

Or what I did is use waterproof connectors, cut the corner light wires and wired in jumpers on a connector with multiple outputs so I could wire in more running lights later on if I wanted.

These are really cool looking lights. do they provide any better light dispersion and distance than oem lights. the oem lights on my 2003 tacoma do not seem to project very far.

No not really. People say they are worse. And iirc, when I was running them as halogen, yes they were a little bit worse. But I didn't think it was that bad. I liked the looks more than anything so that was a compromise I was willing to sacrifice.. Until I went the projector route that is;)

    So for halogen replacements I would think;
Stock units are best. Clear them up with restoration if you can.
Aftermarket oem are the next best. (Depo I think).
Aftermarket oem (eBay clones) come in 3rd.
These spyder probly are the last choice in quality/output.

But again, These are a one of a kind and I think they look sick. And really aren't that bad if you take the time to seal them up, maybe even clear coat the trim, and seal the lens. And they will last longer.
