My 2001 Taco TRD has developed several visible creases on the driver side portion of the hood. The problem is the X-ribbed stamping on the engine compartment side has separated from the hood due to who know what? The steel glue that attaches the ribbed stamping to the hood has separated in numerous places. I use the term oil canned hood because with the hood closed I can press down on the hood and it acts like a oil can moving up & down. This excessive movement is causing the creases in the hood which will only get worse with time. Has anyone run across this problem before because I am sure its not an isolated incident.

I wonder if I have any recourse with Toyota considering they anted up for the frame rust problems that affected 95-00 models. I would be interested in hearing you experiences with your Taco's

    TIA

Sorry to see you're having that problem ...

I've been active in multiple Tacoma forums for 6 - 7 years now, and I don't believe I've *ever* seen anyone report this kind of problem.
