Yep, I know where you are coming from. I actually do feel really bad. Had they given me the option ahead of time I probably would have been able to deal with it but getting there and seeing it really caught me off guard and gave me a bad vibe about the salesguy...dont know why he wouldnt be more upfront about it if it wasnt a big deal.

    nothing cool
this was a fun 5 page thread so far :). 250 miles isn't a big deal BUT, you did say ya wanted less than 20 miles on it. So, that makes it a big deal. Glad ya got what ya wanted. If you're spending 20K + on a truck brand new get it the way ya asked.

Mine was a dealer transfer and I got 1200 off cus it had 89 miles on it and I didn't care because I saw the dude who drove it from the other dealer he was an old dude so I felt better if it was a young guy I might have felt different because I know what me and my budd's did to a rental.

250 wouldn't bother me at all if it was exactly what I wanted, but don't let them know that. But they would have to sell it as an extra discount just like they usually do the test drive cars that are still considered "new" (i.e. never titled).

Otherwise, just wait for another one that meets your specs.

Pull apart the dash in 10 mins and unplug the gauges. It's easier in the 4Runner than in the taco. It requires more panels to be removed

I got mine with 207 miles on it didn't matter to me because it was the truck I wanted and a dealer swap was done. As far as getting $1000's knocked off for 250 miles good luck, I was only able to get my NFAB steps included in the deal for free because of the miles.

I wouldn't have the patients to wait. It's $250, big deal. I don't even remember what was on my 2012 when I picked it up. It was what I wanted, dealer swap, had to wait 2 weeks for it to be delivered, they did take $2000 off the list price though, but i negoiated that before i signed anything.

FWIW ... if you do buy the truck (with a small discount) ... you will probably look back at this thread at 10,000 miles and laugh ... :)

Ha! sounds pathetic when you put it that way... anyway whats done is done now and I am getting the one I want on Sunday. Lots of these tacomas to go around and I am sure the one they dealer swapped will not sit around for too long.
