Just got my dream Tacoma Friday. Took it to a fourwheeler ride Saturday. Hauled mine in the bed and a friends on the trailer. Pulled good! And the field we parked in got a pretty slick after it started raining while on the ride. Got to try out the four wheel drive to get out of the field after loading up.
I ordered some weather tech mats and a new Sirius receiver last night, but what's next?? I'm thinking some seat covers, tint, black rims, maybe blackout the tail lights? I want an led bar but not sure if I want to put it in the grill or on a prerunner style bar. Main thing, I'm just glad to finally be in a 4x4 Tacoma! Happy, Happy, Happy! :)

Drive it for a few weeks and take it all in, then assess what you want to do with it.

I find taking a little time and developing a methodical plan does a lot to save any regretful purchases later.

My approach has been to enjoy it stock for the first few months while pouring through build threads admiring the works of others and seeing what really sticks in my head.

Congrats on the truck and welcome to TW. It's a great feeling - I wanted a Taco for years and years and it was bliss when I finally pulled the trigger.

Welcome! I think the interior stuff is a little more fun early on. You get to enjoy it more while driving. Exterior is a little more function, the interior makes it yours. Take your time and find out what's important for your truck, it's fun always having a mod to look forward to, big or small.

yeah it's all fun and wasted money. I just traded in my 03 duramax with all the bells and whistles. it was a sad day. the injectors went bad and i wasn't about to make that repair investment. but I'm glad I have a new canvas to work with!
my plan of attack is to get the simple little things out of the way first then tackle the more comprehensive and expensive mods.
def. going to stay away from the lift and bigger tires. after i did that to my duramax, stuff started to break and I've grown up now so I feel its time for a more responsible vehicle, but still fun!
I look forward to the build project and all the posts and pics to come! stay tuned!
