My tx pro has only 6k miles on it and all the lug nuts are rusting as well as the Receiver hitch. Called the dealership and they said there is nothing they can do about as far as it being covered under warranty. Anyone else have same problem? Anyone got any info on how to clean up or help stop the rust? Thanks for any info.

A little pricey but (IMO) one of the best rust treatment and prevention paint for the undercarriage(or any rusted areas) is POR 15 paint. [IMG]

Another poster recommended a product called Rust Bullet that I am strongly considering using. http://www.rustbullet.com/?source=adwords&gclid=CPKky5qJrLYCFUVN4AodDX4A1Q

As for the existing rust, I like to use a brass brush on a cordless drill where ever possible. saves you a ton of time. But otherwise, a steel brush, scotchbrite, sandpaper, whatever you need to get it offa there. Then seal it with either Por 15 or Rust Bullet. Im considering Rust Bullet cuz it's 1 step instead of 3 and is a good bit cheaper I think.

Also, if you ever have bolts or small parts (like brake calipers) that you need to get rust off of, the best stuff I have found is this http://www.evaporust.com/evaporust.html?gclid=CLjK1qSKrLYCFdGd4AodXgoA_A It takes a day or so for heavily rusted items, but you wont believe what it can do. I didn't anyway. you can basically take the most rusted thing you can find, and remove every single spec of rust from it without scrubbing or sanding.
