I had planned on installing these yesterday but I had a sever allergic reaction to some medication so I was in bed most of the day. Felt a little better today and decided to install them before I started feeling too bad again. Wasn't too bad. Only took maybe an hour and a half and that was hiding everything with wire loom also.

Very nice, congratulations! I run 4- Piaa 80 racing series off road lights on my truck and love them. Piaa also has great customer service and the lights are very durable. I think you will enjoy them.

Holy hell these lights are bright. Good purchase. Pictures don't do them justice.

I'm running the same setup as the OP except mine are 4 PIAA 520 crystal ion driving lights, not white. I could not disagree with you more about PIAA's customer service. They are the biggest group of assholes I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Their customer service rep was a complete unprofessional ass hat, the type you wished you could throttle through the phone wire. I love my lights but I won't buy them again just because of the way I was treated by that clown.

OP, if you want to get fancy with the wiring, let me know. I've got mine wired up so to 2 on-off-on switches. The first on position lets me turn the lights on when the high beams are on, the second on position lets me turn them on whenever I have the ignition on. This lets me use them on dark back roads without the fear of completely blinding someone if they come around a dark corner toward me.

Thanks for the offer. Now that I've got them wired up and installed (wired into the low beam circuit) and all the wire "loomed" under the hood I'll probably just leave it like it is. I got them mainly because My drive to work is about 40 mins of long country back road with very little traffic but a lot of deer. These should help out a lot.

Why low beams? Seems it makes more sense to use them with your high beams rather than low beams :notsure: In my opinion, they are way too bright to have on with oncoming traffic.

I mainly did it so I could use them with my factory fog lights also. You are correct they are WAY too bright for oncoming traffic but like I said, I don't really plan on using them unless I go off road or on my way to work with long straight stretches where deer seem to congregate. This way I can put the most light down at one time. Just my thought process which may be flawed lol.

Wow, I'm surprised to hear that. I bought my lights back in 97' and originally put them on my 97 Tacoma 4x4. Took them off in 2001 when I got rid of the truck and they sat in storage until 2007 when I bought my 07' Tacoma. After having them sit forever, I needed new relays and all new wiring harnesses and switches. When I bought everything in 97' I was told everything had a lifetime warranty except the bulbs. I called Piaa and sure enough they honored their warranty and sent me out all new relays, wiring harnesses and switches. I then had a bulb burn out a few months back and they referred me to a few places that sell the bulbs for my lights but what was cool was the new bulbs were even brighter. I'm sorry your experience was bad but mine has been great with them.

To the OP, I have 2 extra wiring harnesses and switches to your lights. Piaa accidentally sent me your harness and switches out by mistake and then had to resend me the proper ones but they told me to just go ahead and keep the extra ones. If you ever need them, let me know.

I did the fog light anytime mod and wired the PIAA's to my high beams. That way I get high beams, fog lights and 4 PIAAs shooting down the road at once. You'll actually be able to see down the road better with the fog lights off and your high beams on. When you put light down on the road directly in front of you, your eyes focus on that rather than out further. By turning your fogs off, all the light is now further down the road and your focus will be also. It's the same reason newer versions of projectors have fore ground limiters. Try it sometime, just put your high beams on, turn your fogs off and lower your dash lights. :)

Thank you very much for the offer. I hope I don't need them but it's nice to know there are some out there. :)

That makes sense. I haven't done the fog light mod but it wouldn't take me 2 mins to switch the PIAA's to the high beam.

Where did you get that light bar? Are you happy with the way it is aligned? I've been looking and a few companies that fab them are off center or crooked. At least that's what the review says.

It is a N-Fab Light bar that I bought off of Amazon for $140

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002TV7WHM/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Don't pay attention to the 2 reviews. This is a quality light bar that lined up perfectly on my truck and took maybe 20 mins to install. Couldn't be happier with it.

Looks sweet. I just put 3 on mine..still have to tap one of the end ones for the middle (Cyclops) and aim them. How did you set yours?

I have the 2 center ones aimed directly down the road. The 2 outside are aimed ever so slightly to the right and left accordingly. Seems to give a wide field of view. I have since wired them into the Highbeam circuit so they come on when I flip on the Highbeams and off when I turn them off (Thanks Pugga).

    Looks good,
    I've got the Nfab with 4 Hella 500FFs;

Up here driving lights need to be covered when on road, I don't think those PIAA grills would count if you were stopped.

Wired mine through two switches; inside pair down the road and the outside pair in the ditches. They are both wired into the highbeams using an add-a-fuse similar to the always on fog mod..

They are bright with the 55W bulbs, but I upgraded the harnesses to 12awg incase I want to upgrade to 100w bulbs down the road.

x2, I ran into that when I lived in VA but in MA, no one bothers me.

Vicali, if you can't use them on the road anyways, why did you bother to wire them to your high beams?

Technically the PIAA grill is good enough in MA..reason being it does cover the actual bulb itself.

I must say Pugga is the wiring guru..
