I've run a dozen tires on and offroad, BFG Mud T/A, BFG ATs, Nittos, Toyos, Goodyear... but I'm not sure with the taco.

Basically my choices are down to the following:

Toyo Open Country MTs - have had them on two wheelers so far and love them, taco is a grocery getter so I'm not sure I want to go with iron hard tires.

Hankook Dynapro ATM in P tire: 40lbs/tire lighter than T, basically thinking I'd get back some performance from the P class.

Hankook Dynapro ATM in T +40lbs better plys I guess, and I'm used to running E rates on heavier vehicles, so it's hard to say "I don't need that"

265/75/16 in any case, stock no lift.

I've had Hankook 10 ply dynapro ATM's on my 07 DC Off Road for over 55K miles. Dealer won't rotate them as they don't show enough wear yet. Aired down to 17 psi they grip very well. They are also much quieter on the hwy than stock tires. Hope this helps.

i'm running the hankook atm's in p265/75/16. I've only had them on for less than 3000 miles but love them so far. I've had them in snow, rain, and dirt. They were awesome the whole time!!!! Plus they're quiet on the road!!!!

I like my Toyos a lot very dependable off road and you get a long life out of them (this is my 4th pair on various vehicles) though they are heavy and will rob your power/mileage.
But damn I love the look of them..

Id get Toyo MT if they made them in a 285/70r17, but since they don't I will try the Hankook.

Running the Hankook 10-ply ATMs as well and I love them. They do great in the snow, no noise on the road, and seem to be wearing great.

You will lose some mileage from the heavier tires, but you gotta pay to play I suppose.

I'm running the Toyos and yes, they are heavy/hard, but I love their off-road performance. Every once in a while I'll get on the highway with cold tires and they'll give me just a bit of steering wheel shake until they've warmed up after a few miles, but most of the time they're not a problem. I do need to air them down slightly (25-30) on washboard roads to keep from getting the crap shaken out of me from their hardness. Awesome tires though that I never have to worry about in the middle of BFE.
