Joined TW couple years ago when I bought my 2011 2wd 4cylinder Tacoma. Well there were many things about the Tacoma that I liked and it generally suited my hauling needs but the AccessCab was too small for my liking. After looking at used Tacoma DCLBs and not wanting to pay out the arse for one I found a very nice 2012 5.7L 4x4 DoubleCab SR5 Tundra with 15k miles! I was able to get a smoking deal on this truck and am very happy with my purchase. Fuel economy is something I'll be watching closely but I was delighted the truck averaged 19.8 mpg cruising at @65 on the 200 mile drive home.

Just drove it home from the dealer last night so I only got one pic with the iphone. I was alone and the wife wanted to at least see a pic of the actual truck I was buying :D

    Could you define smoking deal?
While I am pretty happy with my tacoma I miss my 2006 tundra bed space.
    Nice truck btw!

Sure. The dealer gave me right at KBB trade-in value for my 5 lug Tacoma, and I paid $150 over trade-in value for the Tundra. Basically $4000 under MSRP. Also since it was a certified used Tundra it qualified for 1.9% financing from Toyota.

Nice truck. I'm half tempted to trade in my 2009 Taco on a new Tundra. I was already tossing around the idea of trading in next year but that would be on an F150 or Ram since I hate the 2014 Tundra.

Thanks man! I agree with you about the 2014. The dealer had one sitting in the show room and I wanted to like it, but could not get over that front grill. Plus with no powertrain changes a 2012 or 2013 was a no brainer.

Still getting around 19 on the highway? Gas mileage is the only thing that would concern. For shits and giggles I requested an Internet price on a 2013 magnetic gray double cab they have on the lot that already looks like is $6k off or so. I'll probably hang on to the Taco but if they make a good enough offer I might bite.

Yeah, 19 mpg was ideal conditions cruising at 65 mph. On the trip back it was windy and was cruising at 70 and it dropped to 17 mpg.

Also to note I have the 5.7 with the flex-fuel which is rated 1mpg higher than the non flex-fuel 5.7 :notsure:

Awesome! I'm sure you'll love your truck. I didn't imagine I would be trading in my Taco after buying it new and only owning it for 2 years, but the Tundra has everything I wanted in a truck that my Taco just didn't have.

Also I have noticed that TundraTalk and TundraSolutions does not in anyway rival TacomaWorld, so I'll be sticking around here;)

Tundrasolutions was pretty decent awhile back seems like an older more mature group than here.

Lots of good info here just to time consuming sorting through the drivel

Picked her up today. Ill post a thread of my own once I get a few good pics. This thing is badass. I loved my taco and all but this thing is awesome. She really gets up and goes for a 5k lb vehicle I wa surprised how quick it is.
