Currently I have a Thule hitch bike rack that I use for my mtn bike. I would like to try to make a fork mount system so I don't have to have the big hitch rack on all of the time. I have a Fold-a-Cover so I have a bit of a challenge. I was thinking about mounting a RockyMounts HM DriveShaft (http://www.amazon.com/Rocky-1084-Ro...007859&sr=1-2&keywords=RockyMounts+driveshaft) on the inner side of the cover, so when it is unfolded, the mount would be near the back the cab. But by doing this I can't lock stuff under the cover since it would be open.

I am trying to stay away from a rail system. I could also put the mount near the cab but the cover wouldn't fully "fold" up. And it might be harder to secure the rear wheel

    Any other suggestions??
