I am in the market for a 2013 Access cab, 4x4 v6 AT TRD

when I price it with Truecar, NADA, KBB and Edmunds, there appears to be 2 identical TRD Off Road packages with a $300 price difference in them.

Can anyone offer some enlightenment as to why, or what I am missing?

    Thanks!

    Regional differences?

Price it out through the Toyota web site. That site will list only the packages available in your zip code. No point in pricing out a truck with options only available 1500 miles away.

Will truecar allow me those options that are not available in my region? All of the pricing sites asked for my zip code

Dunno... I've never heard of Truecar.
What is the apparent difference between the two packages, if Truecar lists both? There has to be some difference.

floormats, window tint, etc...It has to be some accessory. The TRD Offroad Package (OC) costs the same on all trucks. Unless you mean difference between TRD Sport and OFFroad.

one prob has bluetooth or something. there is no mechanical difference between the TRD Sport and the SR5 V6.... the TRD OR is the only model that has a significant difference.

On Edmunds the only diff between the 2 TRD OR packages listed is $5. $3600 vs. $3605. You must be comparing the sport to off road.

For me it does show about a $300 difference for invoice price, but only $75 on msrp. Same on all four sites. Not sure what the difference could be though because the descriptions are exactly the same. Although edmunds is the only one that calls one the extra value package. Funny thing is the extra value package is more expensive :D

maybe there's regional differences, but I don't even show a TRD Offroad option for 2013, only TRD sport. also, SR5 doesn't have different suspension for 2013, but TRD Sport does (from Truecar.com):

Longbed=No Offroad only SR5 and TRD Sport.....most of those 3rd party sites are off anyway. True car will let you build configurations that Toyota doesn't make..

The OR package is offered on LBeds just not DC Lb's.

TRD Sport has LSD and SR5 has Open diff? And TRD bilstein shocks. Those are the only mechanical differences or is there more?

I wouldn't place any faith on truecar. I used them, went to the dealers they told me that had the trucks, none of them had the trucks and they all tried to get me into something else.

Comparing the 2 TRD-OR specific models, I'd say the $300 difference is carpet floor mats. They came with my truck and cost right at $299, which is not far off from 3606-3310=$296. Otherwise no idea. The guy that posted above from trucar, both those descriptions list leather-wrapped steering wheel and sunvisors, just lists it out of order compared to one another, and so do the descriptions of yours you posted OP. I read the entire thing and saw no difference listed in the description.
