I find when driving my TRD in tight areas, I'm desiring a higher view point in the seat. Has anyone come across a mod to increase the height of driver's seating position? Would a certain brand seat cover make a difference?

I think I remember seeing a thread about some guy pulling his seats out and putting washers or something under his seats where the bolts are to lift it up some more but I'm not 100% sure on that. And I'm pretty sure that's not too safe either. Ill see if I can find it

I've seen washers or spacers done more than a few times on forums, however the response is always pretty varied on it. Perhaps a comfy seat pad and some thicker seat covers like Wet Okoles would net you enough. I'm looking into seat pads and lumbar support for my really bad back, but the added 1/4" of height will be a plus as well. Pad will bring you up and lumbar would bring you forward, just an idea.

Get yourself one of these. They work great for me since I'm short.

Thank you for the responses! I'll give the 1'' seat cushion a try first. I'm headed to the Wet Okoles website as we speak and see what they have to offer.

This isn't my thread by I may check these out. Thanks.

What'd it run ya for the whole seat? There are no prices and only a number to find dealers.

I'm not trying to poke fun of anyone's height but are you on the shortish side because I'm barely 6ft and I wish there was a way I could LOWER the seat height of my 13 Taco. I always feel like I'm sitting up way to high.

I just paid a good auto upholstery shop to add extra padding in my 2012 TRD seat to compensate for the active head restraint metal framework crap that is hitting my lower back. I paid about 150 for one seat and an added benefit was it raised me up a bit. I'm fairly pleased with the result.
